I'm already very excited about Field Day 2015, in particular the opportunity to see Ride and Patti Smith and band performing 'Horses'. But I thought it was time to dig around the well curated background and see what else Eat Your Own Ears have to offer. Oddly named 'Jagaara' are a trio of north London sisters with an interesting riff on Warpaint sound, which is an update on the shoegaze of the 90s more or less. But what sets Jagaara apart is (at least here) a more subdued approach and the addition of electronic production. It works tremendously and coupled with very tight harmonies delivers a hypnotic and beautiful tune. I really like the video as it becomes more abstract too.

September Girls - Heartbeats
September Girls are an all-girl five pieces, hyphen encouraging garage pop band from Dublin with influences heavily indebted to MBV, Indigo Girls, Lush and the 90s shoegaze sound. 'Heartbeats' is the first single to be taken from the forthcoming Fortuna POP! album.
