Sylvan Esso - H.S.K.T

Every now and then I am forced to break my no Vevo rule to post a great video and tune. This is one of those times. Their Coachella show looked like loads of fun and their Field Day performance in London will be one to watch out for.

To clarify I haven't got a problem with Vevo I just don't want my blog look like it's powered and promoting their service with the relentless branding across all content loaded onto to the platform.

Passion Pit - Cry Like A Ghost

I said something about not wanting to post Vevo videos a few posts ago, I know. But then you would miss out on seeing this disorientating and captivating video from Passion Pit's latest album, Gossamer. So I'll make an exception, this time.

And here's the behind the scenes so you can make sense of all that.

Hookworms - Since We Have Changed

Sorry Vevo, but seriously, I've had enough of those branded videos ruining my blog page. So with that, I'll have to shift the focus away from Sony, Universal & EMI artists... This is a shame as Sony, for example, instituted a new A&R policy sometime ago moving away from X-Factor acts, which is starting to bear some very tasty, but probably unrecoupable fruit.

Leeds band 'Hookworms' blend the psychedelic & heavy rock influences on their superb album, 'Pearl Mystic'. I love the ritualistic video with women wearing horse heads at a picnic, too.

Hot Water Music - Drag My Body

It seems Hot Water Music have hooked up with the man as they now have a Vevo account. No matter, this killer tune from last years 'Exister' album pairs lyrics and video to reveal a tragic story. As always HWM deliver a passionate performance, on stage or on set.
