Kate Bush - Deeper Understanding

This is Kate Bush's (self-directed) video for the remake of "Deeper Understanding" featuring Robbie Coltrane, Frances Barber & Noel Fielding, off the forthcoming, 'Directors Cut'. Originally off the 'Sensual World' album, the song's lyrics describe the relationship between a computer & a lonely person. A particulalrly poignant set-up in 2011, even more so considering its release in 1989. Of course at the time Kate intended the lyric to relate to all machines, not specifically computers.
This reversion is two minutes longer, complete with re-recorded vocals, a section of harmonica and the voice of her son Albert on the chorus. It's a surreal video which plays on themes of human alienation in a modern, connected & computer reliant world. You could draw parallels with the online game 'Second Life' and its ilk to the (admittedly, simplified) program depicted in this video.
