An unlikely but superbly gravel-voiced baritone emerges on his debut blues E.P, 'The Baron'. This song tells the story of an evangelical preacher from Alabama who strangled his wife, chopped her up and popped her body in a freezer.
He has an odd geographical history too - born in Bristol, then moved to Chicago at six, then back to the West Country at sixteen. I'd love to hear that accent. He's definitely one to keep and ear on this year and he's performing at this year's SXSW, if you're heading to Austin. Wish I was...
