Big Ups generate a noise and wild energy reminiscent of fore bearers The Jesus Lizard, Shellac and when they dial up the pace, 80s US hardcore. A pretty good mix from where I sit and this tune can easily rub shoulders with Pissed Jeans at their most pissed. Their debut album "Eighteen Hours Of Static" is out January 13th on Tough Love and they're on tour through the US, UK & Europe and ending up at SXSW in March.
