AlunaGeorge - Attracting Flies (Behind The Scenes)

Up & coming electronic dance/pop duo AlunaGeorge are showing themselves to be innovative, smart, electronic pop creators. The more I hear the more I hear nods to Trip hop groups like Morcheeba and the forward-thinking but finely honed pop chops of another duo, Canadians, New Look. So, there is much to look forward to from their debut album "Body Music" due July 1st on Island Records.

In the meantime check out the BHS for their superb new song 'Attracting Flies' directed by the energetic and supremely talented Emil Nava. It's a modern adaption of classic fairytales set in urban London.

Jamie Cullum - Love For $ale ft. Roots Manuva

You didn't expect to see a Jamie Cullum video here now did you? Well it's an interesting blend and a very new direction for Cullum. A couple of interesting elements here to note, this is a Cole Porter song and it's over an instantly recognizable interpolation of Roots Manuva's 'Witness the Fitness'. It's gone full circle you might say, jazz sampling hip-hop and works fantastically. So my interest is now piqued at what else he does with his upcoming album on Island Records this year sometime.

And of course the video features TV actor Larry Lamb, directed by Charlie & Joe at Forever Pictures, who take the lyrics of the song very literally.

AlunaGeorge - Your Drums, Your Love

New signings to Island records, London duo AlunaGeorge are producer George Reid and sweet soul singer Aluna Francis. Following their fantastic debut E.P last year 'You Know You Like It', they've cultivated a more nuanced pop single here with a view to an album release in 2013. I can't help think of current English dance wonder kid, Disclosure, with its nod to 90s garage & trip-hop.

Superb video here too, directed by Henry Scholfield.
